Russian Association of Cryptoindustry and Blockchain (RACIB) opens a new service to protect defrauded crypto investors. Within the framework of the new service, RACIB is going to actively cooperate with Police, Federal Security Service (FSB) and Interpol. On November 28, the online support service for victims of cryptocurrency-related frauds and scams opened under the aegis of RACIB. The new division will be coordinated by RACIB’s vice president in charge of Escrow-mechanism implementation Denis Dushnov and vice president in charge of technology promotion Alexander Brazhnikov. Russia is ranking third in the list of countries with the greatest number of hacked cryptocurrency exchanges. The overall number of cryptocurrency-related cybercrimes has surged by 32% in the Q1 2018 alone here. It is also worth noting, that according to statistics, 70% of Russia-based ICOs turned out to be scams.
