UEFA allowed the group stage matches of the Champions League this season at the Luzhniki stadium, where CSKA Moscow planned to play.
"We can confirm that the Luzhniki stadium can be used for the matches of the group stage of the Champions League in the season-2018/19", — told the correspondent of "Championship" Polina Kokowai the press service of UEFA.
Earlier, UEFA confirmed that CSKA has submitted a request for the possibility of holding home matches of the Champions League group stage at the Luzhniki stadium. It was reported that before a final decision on the request was made, the inspectors would visit the stadium and inspect it.
CSKA will play at home with Real Madrid (October 2), Roma (November 7) and Victoria Plzen (November 27) at the Champions League group stage.
Luzhniki stadium hosted the FIFA World Cup 2018 final.
