Aston Martin has just confirmed that its latest sports car, set to replace the DB9, will be dubbed the Aston Martin DB11. In a similar vein to the Aston Martin DB9 which replaces the DB7, the British marque has opted to skip the DB10 moniker and head straight for DB11. The car will debut next year.

Details around the auction are virtually non-existent but it’s been confirmed that the Aston Martin DB10 won’t be legal to drive on the street. As a result, it will have to permanently reside in a collection and potentially make occasional appearances at race tracks.
Powering the DB10 is the same naturally-aspirated 4.7-litre V8 engine as the British firm’s V8 Vantage model. While the DB10 shares its underpinnings with the Vantage, it features a completely bespoke exterior and interior.
