открыты выпускные и впускные клапаны, была уменьшена с 37 до 11 градусов, точно так же, как годом ранее это было сделано на двигателе Multistrada,
что позволило увеличить крутящий момент в большом диапазоне оборотов, уменьшить расход топлива и понизить токсичность отработанных газов.
В результате максимальная мощность пострадала несущественно — силовой агрегат развивает 132 л. с. (у спортбайка 848 EVO — 140 л. с.),
а вот межсервисные интервалы получилось значительно увеличить.
