A growing economy is good for everyone. However sometimes the economy can grow too fast, which is called "overheating".

Overheating is when the economy reaches the limits of its capacity to meet all of the demand from individuals, firms and government. In other words, the amount of unused resources, or spare capacity in the economy - is minimal or non-existent.

Therefore, the most obvious indicators of overheating are:

✔️rising rates of inflation

✔️abnormally high employment rates

✔️too much borrowing

✔️current output is above potential output
