Parks and terrencures were closed in Pyatigorsk and Zheleznovodsk due to icing of trees.
"A thick fog descended on Zheleznovodsk and lasted for a whole week, there was high humidity — more than 90 percent, then frost hit and it rained, all our trees are standing in ice. Therefore, in order to avoid accidents, I made a decision: we are blocking our resort park, our terrencures," said the head of the city Yevgeny Bakulin in his Telegram channel.
He also asked not to visit the cascade staircase and the lake.
The authorities of Pyatigorsk, in turn, decided to close the walking area on Mount Mashuk. The head of the city Dmitry Voroshilov asked residents and tourists to refuse to visit terrenkurs.
According to forecasters, it is now minus four degrees in Kavminvody, the situation is complicated by gusty wind. Warming is expected from Thursday, the thermometer will rise above zero.
