The emblem of the House of Tudor became both their family emblem and the symbol for all of England. It is a red rose with another rose, a white one, in the middle of the red rose. The double rose emblem is the combination of the symbols of the House of Lancaster(a red rose) and the House of York (a white rose). These dynasties fought bitterly in the War of the Roses. The symbol was created to show the unification of the warring Houses by the Tudors and the end of the war.
