A familiar salad, suitable for the festive table on any occasion. Mimosa salad is a classic salad recipe, easy to prepare and incredibly delicate in taste.
Cooking description:
Mimosa salad recipe, the main ingredients in which are canned fish, chicken eggs onions and mayonnaise dressing. The name of the dish fully reflects its appearance - the salad depicts mimosa flowers on a snowy surface. The holiday classic mimosa salad ranks alongside such culinary celebrities at our table as Olivier and herring under a fur coat. The Mimosa Classic Salad featured in my recipe is exactly like the one in the cookbook.
Ingredients:
Canned fish in oil - 200 grams (1 can is better saury) Potatoes - 300 grams (4 medium potatoes) Carrots - 200 grams (4 medium carrots) Onions - 100 grams (2 medium onions) Cheese - 150 grams (hard type) Mayonnaise - 250 grams Eggs - 4 pieces Greens - 50 grams (dill or parsley)
Portion quantity: 3-4
The first thing to do is to boil the potatoes, carrots and eggs. The boiled products cool down and peel. On a fine grater grate potatoes, carrots, whites, yolks and cheese (all in separate bowls or plates). In a salad bowl, place the fish and butter and mash with a fork all over the surface of the bottom of the dish. Smear a little mayonnaise on top.
Place grated whites on top of the fish and smear with mayonnaise.
Place grated carrots on top of the whites and again smear a small layer of mayonnaise. Finely chop the onions, pour boiling water and let stand for 5-10 minutes to remove the bitterness. Put onions on top of carrots, potatoes on the onions, salt them a little and smear mayonnaise. Finely grate cheese on top and smear with mayonnaise. The last layer is to decorate the salad with grated egg yolks and herbs. Before serving, let the salad soak in a cold place for 2 hours. Bon appetit!
