Environment problems now and 30 years ago

Over the past 30 years, a lot has changed in our lives. We started living at a very fast rhythm. We have to use transport every day. We often use plastic only because it is cheap and convenient. We use mobile phones every day to keep in touch with family and colleagues, and at the same time keep it charged twice a day.

All these daily habits of modern people are slowly causing damage to the environment. In this article I would like to compare the ecological situation in the world now and 30 years ago.

Nowadays, the industry is developing at a breakneck movement, and, unfortunately, this is bad for the environment. The more developed the industry in the city, the more difficult it is for its inhabitants to live. From constant collapses, people get sick more often and their life expectancy is reduced. Especially great harm to the environment is caused by the use of plastic. More natural materials were used 30 years ago - they did not cause harm on such a scale as plastic. Also, unscrupulous factory owners drain waste into the ocean-which harms the oceans, its inhabitants, and people who eat seafood.

Cars also produce exhausts - modern families have 2 or 3 cars per family because it has become a necessity. They also produce emissions into the atmosphere and plants can not cope with such a volume of harmful gases. This is because having a car 30 years ago was an unfathomable luxury - only rich people could buy it. As a consequence, the atmosphere was not as polluted as it is now. Plastic is the enemy of the 21st century. We use it several times a day. The whole problem is that it is disposable. As a rule, the terms of decomposition of plastic products can reach 1 thousand years. At the same time, plastic bags, which we often use in our daily lives, can decompose from 100 to 1 thousand years, and plastic bottles - from 450 years or more. Nowadays our planet extremely polluted by plastic. Highly developed countries separate garbage and give it for recycling - but this does not save the situation - it is produced on a huge scale and has not yet come up with a material more convenient and cheaper than plastic. There was no this problem 30 years ago. People didn't use plastic on the scale we use it now.

The solution of environmental problems depends on each of us. For example, we can use alternative fuels for cars, or use an electric car for transportation. We can also carry out separate garbage - collect plastic separately from other waste.
