How the fashion trends in manicure have changed over the past 100 years.

Over time, fashion changes for clothes, shoes, hairstyles, makeup, and accessories. Most of these changes are revealed in the "100 Years of Fashion" video series by the specialists of the "Mode.com" portal. This time they decided to demonstrate the evolution of nail design from 1916 to 2016. In our review of photos and videos that show how the shape, length, color, and decor of nails has changed. 1. 1916. In the first decades of the last century, the women of the beautiful sex briefly cut their nails and did not apply any coating. 2. 1926. In the 1920s, women started covering their nails with transparent lacquer. 3. 1936. In the 1930s, the gentlewomen began to do the so-called "lunar" manicure. The girls preferred the lacquer in bright red. 4. 1946. In the '40s, fashionista walked around with a long, bright red manicure. 5. 1956. In the middle of the twentieth century, a noble burgundy color became fashionable. The shape and length of the nails did not change.

11. 2016. At the moment, one of the most popular trends is nails in the style of "nude" with decor in the form of sequins.

It's an unusual name, isn't it? The fact is that thanks to this manicure, the visual effect of broken glass is created on the nails. Today, this design has won the hearts of many fans of the nail-art. It is very light and fast in performance. Your nails will shine in a new way with such an unusual and very fashionable manicure. You can try it yourself. It's not difficult at all!

Instruction manicure "broken glass":

Method number 1.

In order to create this incredible manicure with lacquer gel, we need to:

- Basic coating;

- Foil for any color design (glossy looks more effective)

or plain thin foil.

- nail scissors.

- tweezers.

- top gel polish.

If you want to do a manicure "broken glass" on a colored substrate, prepare the color of the desired gel varnish.

Technique of performance:

Prepare marigolds, perform hygienic manicure.

We put on nails a base covering and we dry in a lamp. We apply a color coating if we want to create a substrate and dry in the lamp.  We cut out of foil for design small long triangles. We apply a top-coating and immediately lay out the triangles with tweezers on the non-dried layer so that there are small gaps between them. In this way, we will create the desired effect. Dry the design in the lamp. We cover the design from above with a layer of fixing coating and dry it in the lamp. Our manicure with a broken glass effect is ready!

Method number 2.

We'll tell you another way to do a glass manicure. In fact, it can be done without any foil.

In this case, we will need it:

- base gel polish.

- Mirror effect gel polish.

- black gel polish for manicure design.

- thin brush.

- top gel polish.

Prepare nails, perform hygienic manicure. Apply the base color gel polish to the nails,
 and dry in a lamp. We put some layers of a mirror color covering and each layer is dried in a lamp. We draw borders of "broken glass" with black paint and a thin brush. You seem to be visually breaking the mirror coating into separate parts. Drying paint for design. We apply a top-coating and dry it in the lamp to fix our effect.

The manicure is ready!
