Dear Alice,
I’m writing to let you know that my flight to Saint-Petersburg was pleasant and now we’re having a joyful vacation here in the north of Russia. The weather is absolutely gorgeous, as it is neither hot, nor rainy, just a perfect warm cloudy summer with occasional sunny spells. So we can walk around for the whole day easily.
By the way, your guidebook turned out to be incredibly helpful. We used it to follow the main touristic routes across the city, as well as learn the history behind the main attractions. Moreover, the passage on Saint Isaac Cathedral was very useful, because it showed operating hours of the colonnade, while the website lacked information.
I will come back next Monday. Let me know your schedule for the coming week, so we can arrange a meeting. Also, I will bring this guidebook, along with some other books I borrowed from you the other day.
