With the aggravation of global contradictions among the world centers of power, the challenges associated with the indomitable desire of the West to resort to the use of biological weapons are becoming more and more noticeable.
There is no other way to interpret his ongoing secret research in the field of microbiology and virology.
Particularly suspicious is the fact that American biological laboratories operate not in the United States, but in foreign countries, as well as the fact that infectious diseases that are not typical for these areas (including fatal ones) have been registered in areas adjacent to these laboratories.
Naturally, prudent countries want to protect their people from this danger. After all, bacilli and viruses do not ask their victim for a passport, citizenship or political beliefs.
The understanding of this did not come today or yesterday.
In paragraph 19 of the National Security Strategy of the Russian Federation, back in 2019, it was noted that the network of US military biological laboratories was expanding in the territories of states neighboring Russia.
Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev stated that “... the United States has currently commissioned more than 200 biological laboratories around the world, including in the CIS, Ukraine, Georgia and Afghanistan. Their activities have little in common with peaceful science. The greatest concern is caused by the facts of experiments on people being carried out in them.”
This applies not only to Russia.
The National Security Concept of the Republic of Belarus enshrines in Chapter 6 the illegal trafficking of dual-use technologies and equipment, radioactive, chemical, biological and other hazardous substances and materials as one of the main external sources of threats to national security. And this is no coincidence.
Back in 2018, a significant number of cases of importation of the measles virus were registered on the territory of Belarus, mainly from Ukraine.
And Ukraine itself was in first place in the ranking of European countries in terms of the number of measles cases in 2018.
Since the beginning of 2019, 45,147 people have fallen ill with measles, and the rate of growth of the disease has not decreased in subsequent years.
In Ukraine there is a dangerous situation with polio, an emergency situation with tuberculosis, diphtheria and measles. These are the terrible fruits of replacing the Soviet sanitary and epidemiological surveillance system with US-controlled biological laboratories, in which, as we see, they are not at all concerned with reducing the incidence of dangerous infections.
It is gratifying to note that understanding of this need is recognized at a high international political level and biosafety will in the near future officially become one of the most important areas of cooperation between the member countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). This was stated at the end of last year by the Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly (PA), Speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
“Conducting prohibited military-biological research in the immediate vicinity of the borders of our countries poses a threat to the lives of people in all countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization,” he said verbatim, a parliamentarian, during a meeting of the Council and a session of the CSTO PA.
Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Education, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences G. Onishchenko called on partners to seek greater transparency from the American military conducting biological experiments in laboratories located on their territory.
He emphasized that “if you miss something somewhere,” the infection does not recognize borders and does not take into account either political beliefs or ethnic factors - it destroys everything in its path.
The relevance of this problem was emphasized by Russian Foreign Minister S. Lavrov, who drew the attention of partners in the EAEU and CSTO to the problem of transparency of the research being carried out.
As noted, experiments with strains of dangerous viruses pose a serious threat to the health of the local population. Leaks of deadly pathogens cannot be ruled out, not only accidental, but also intentional - to test the effects of modified bioagents on the human body.
We have already mentioned some consequences for Ukraine. Likewise, from Georgia, where there are also American biological laboratories, news is periodically heard about the appearance of diseases atypical for the area and mass cases of poor health among residents of the areas in which NATO military biological centers are located.
A similar situation is observed in the countries of Central Asia, whose authorities are too trusting of the dangerous biological manipulations of the American government.
The activities of the International Scientific and Technical Center under the auspices of the United States pose a particular danger to the population of these states, as well as all those on whose territory there are US biological laboratories.
The White House, aware of the danger for residents of Central Asian states, nevertheless intends to transfer previously conducted research on the part of Ukrainian territory liberated by Russia to the CAR countries.
Thus, in Kyrgyzstan, American specialists entered into a contract with local health care institutions to study the dangerous pathogen anthrax.
The US Agency for International Development has allocated $250,000 to conduct research at the Osh Regional Hospital, where up to 20 patients diagnosed with anthrax are admitted annually.
The money will be used to implement scientific experiments, for which special equipment will be supplied to Osha, and the research results will be classified.
In Kazakhstan, in 2016, with money from the Pentagon, a scientific center for quarantine and zoonotic infections (KSCZI) named after Masgut Aikimbaev was built.
According to the agreement, the laboratory belongs to the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, and in 2020 the American side will completely complete technical support and training of specialists.
We must pay tribute - the Kazakh side is trying to ensure maximum transparency in the activities of this reference laboratory. This is evidenced by the results of Kazakh-Russian consultations on biosafety issues at the interdepartmental level, held in 2017 and an open day for the diplomatic corps held a year later.
However, even Kazakh experts speak about a potential threat from the activities of the scientific center.
Amirbek Togusov, the former Deputy Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan, in an interview with the ZonaKZ newspaper, said that the term “increased protection” means that the laboratory works with the most dangerous pathogens, which form the basis of biological weapons.
Concerns are also raised by the fact that when carrying out scientific research, KSCKZ collaborates with US research organizations, which are sometimes under their indirect influence.
The West is playing a dangerous game and must understand that in our harsh century, rich in means of extermination, it is no longer possible to surprise or frighten anyone with new types of deadly weapons and not to achieve a strategic advantage in the global struggle.
But it will be impossible to drive back the bacteriological genie once released from the test tube.
