Pack your bags wisely, the selective approach is important when packing things.
Many travelers use a tankgang (a bag that is attached to the tank), but you only need to put what you need on the road most often. Things such as a flashlight, pressure gauge, sunscreen, route maps and other small, but necessary things should be carried in a tankgang so that they are always at hand. Human psychology is such that if the above mentioned things (this, of course, is not a complete list) will not be easily available at the moment when you want to use them, there is a high probability that you just give up on them and do not start to dig them out of the bulky luggage bags. It's like, "Come on, let's kill ourselves. That's the mistake - that's how they lose their way, because the map wasn't at hand, and you decided that it's likely to find your way and that's how you get facial burns when you go south - at first you don't notice it, but in the evening, "the face is so red and red".
Note on the documents: it is silly to say that they should be kept in a safe place, everyone knows that. But it is worth reminding that it is desirable to put them in a waterproof package. The psychological aspect is also important: you will need the documents only when meeting with the authorities, so it is not necessary to carry them in the pocket of your jacket. Within three to five minutes of searching for the documents in the luggage bag, you will be able to start a conversation with the traffic policeman and let him know that you are not a crazy racer, but a civilized motorcyclist. If he's in a benevolent mood and hasn't stopped you for a clear violation, it may end up just because he wants you to have a happy journey without looking at your rights.
Get ready to go, buy in advance so you don't waste time on the road.
The rule regarding the readiness of your bike is also applicable to all the luggage you plan to take with you on the trip. Make a list of the things you need on the road in advance and check it before you go. Of course, toothpaste "consumables" such as toothpaste can be bought on the road, but if you have forgotten the clothes or medicine you need to take regularly at home, it can be a problem.
Learn how to fight boredom and landscape monotony on the road.
Long journeys suggest the presence of frankly monotonous landscapes that cause boredom and that is what is dangerous. In this case, it is necessary to have a player with your favorite music, preferably fun, so that it does not make you sleepy. You can stop and have a snack on the road. The work of the jaw muscles slightly increases the blood flow to the brain, thus reducing the likelihood that you will sleep.
To achieve your goal faster, be able to stop in time to rest.
At first glance, this advice may seem meaningless, but many riders successfully apply this strategy. It is not possible to predict the average speed of the upcoming trip due to various reasons, which we will not list here. It is important for you to feel for yourself which speed is the most comfortable for you in these road conditions, and to stick to it. When you feel that you are getting tired and it takes you more and more time to maintain this speed, it is better not to fight with yourself, but to stop and rest seriously. Short stops at roadside cafes or squats and jumps around the bike during refueling will not have any effect. Rather than sitting over a cup of coffee every two or three hours, it's better to spend that time on a full, albeit short sleep or hiking trip to stretch out the swollen muscles and provide fresh oxygen to the blood.
Know when to stop and take a nap!
As soon as you start to want to cover your eyes from fatigue for at least a fraction of a second, your condition becomes sluggish, so look for any safe place to stop and sleep
Other symptoms of fatigue:
You cannot maintain a given speed without excessive strain. If you see that you inadvertently slow down the movement and then, when you realize it, you turn off the gas nervously to make up your mind, it's time to rest.
When driving at night, you forget to switch from the farther to the nearer light.
You start to think too long and hesitate before making a decision. Stop at this gas station or reach the next one? Which way to turn? This is also a result of fatigue.
